In 1970, Pete and Mary Reynoso opened La Casita Cafe' in Mammoth Az. That is when Ernie Villalobos decided to move their from Globe Az to help them. This is how he met and married Margie Lopez who was working as a waitress. In the early 1980`s, Ernie and Margie moved to Farmington New Mexico to continue to learn the business while working with his Tia Chalo there. In 1985 Ernie and Margie (with the help of Ernie's parents Raymond and Cuca Villalobos) decided to move to ShowLow, Arizona and purchased the building at 5000 South White Mountain Rd to establish La Casita Cafe' ShowLow. Ernie and Margie continue to prepare the food fresh daily as Nana Salustia did. |
